This DNA was made by our two awesome team mates, Champion & Meliana who attends at Glen Ines School. They have taught us the different parts of a DNA and how they work.

What such amazing day we had. Team 5 got to have the opportunity to know the many things different school got to learn, and the special subject is Genomics. 2 different schools got to come and show off there different learning's they have done over the terms.
The 2 schools that got to come and join Pt England School where, Glen Innes, and Glenbrae. We got to do a competition answering different questions and giving them out to the quizzer. It was definitely challenging and difficult but we still managed to get through some questions.
The best part about this activity was getting to know one another and getting through hard questions together. We got to work as a team and do amazingly well in front of visitors. Thank you to our wonderful teacher for putting effort into this activity, if it wasn't for you then this day would not be the same.
Well done to my group and the amazing effort you have put into our team.
Hi Petesa,
ReplyDeleteI am glad you had a really fun and informative time at the genomics Hui, getting to know some of the students from other schools. It was a hard task to choose the models for the prizes, but your team did a great job making some DNA. I am sure the experience will help you all remember the base pairing rule (Adenine pairs with Thymine (A-T) and cytosine pairs with guanine (G-C) and that the bases are held together on a sugar-phosphate backbone. It is amazing to think that with DNA having such a simple structure, it can carry the instructions that make each of us the way we are. Keep up the good work!
