WALT: Work collaboratively as a team 

Task Description - We are to solve BEDMAS equation and learn how to work them out using our heads. We have learn the different parts of BEDMAS and how they work in each question. 

*Week 8 - Term 4*  

Word Problems

1. 

5  x 451 = ? 

     5 x 400 = 2000 

  5 x 51 = 255 

            2000 + 255 = 2255 

          

 2. 

$20,000 / 25 = $800 

   25 people will get $800 each and evenly 

3. 

$12,420 / 6 = 2070 

6 people will get 2070 each and evenly  

4. 

$55 for a hoodie and sells them for $95

$95 x 35 = 3325 

Task Description - There is not work up to date for this week so we ended up doing word problems with Mr. Huse 

Word Problems

WALT: Map out our thinking process for each word problem. 

Task Description - This week was a bit to easy for me and some other students, we had word problems we had to solve, and once we answered them we had to solve them in front of the class. 

Patterns & Relationships

WALT: Make patterns from a rule. 

Find Out The Circumference

WALT: Find the area and perimeter of shapes. 

Volume

WALT: Calculate the volume of rectangular prisms 

DMICS Maths

This weeks DMIC'S, we had to focus and get the same number using Perimeter, and Area, my helper Hillary helped me with our math's question and went well with it. First we started of with big numbers (18 half it = 9) since it was way over and wasn't even, we broke it down to smaller amounts of numbers like, (8 half it = 4) since it was still to big and uneven we tried out something else. Hilary thought of putting in the number 6 and half it which would equal 3. 6 x 3 = 18, and 6 + 6 + 3 + 3 = 18. They where a MATCH!
