Athletics

At Pt England School we have our own Athletics. I was looking forward to be playing all kinds of sports with the whole of Pt England School. At Pt England School we get to be in groups. The Group I was in is called Te Aurere properly the best group in Pt England School.
When I walked in class the room was full of colours. Red, Blue, Green and Yellow sometimes other colours. I was very excited to do, Shout Put, Tug - O - War, Discus and Sprints. When we finished getting ready to go and do Athletics we lined up to go and have some Fun!! At Athletics. When we walked through the Breeze we could see the students sitting in there lines. While sitting in our lines for Athletics we needed to listen to Miss Va’afusuaga for the extractions.

”Year 6 girls you may GO!!” I was very happy to do Athletics with my friends. The first activity we got to do was called Target Ball. “ON YOUR MARK GET SET GO!!” So we all got the balls trying to throw it to the other team. It was a very challenging game but we still gave it a go. After the game we all sat down to see who was the winning team but all of a sudden the team that has won was the Green Team, And the second winning team was the Yellow Team, And the team that has came third was Blue so that means Red has came last but we tried our best and we had loads of Fun!!

After all the activities that we did it was the teacher's turn to do their relays, At Pt England School the teachers would always do relays after our Athletics. When we finished everything we all had to go to class to get ready to go home.

My favourite part about Athletics is that everyone worked as a team. I was very proud of the year 6 girls for trying their very best to win the games. On Soft ball throw I came third. Thank you Miss Va’afusuaga for putting the activities together.

Blueberries

Blueberry Free Stock Photo - Public Domain PicturesFree photo: Blueberries, Blueberry, Fruit, Food - Free Image on ...

o you know how blueberries grow? They grow on bushes. Each blueberry is small and round. Many blueberries can grow on one bush. At first, the blueberries are green. The green berries are not ready to eat yet. They need a lot of sun and rain to help them become fat and sweet. When the berries turn blue, they are ripe and ready to be picked.

Some farmers grow blueberries in big fields. The people who live nearby can earn money by helping to pick the blueberries. Each one takes a pail out to the field and fills it with blueberries. They work fast so that they can fill many pails. They want to earn as much money as they can. When they are done picking, their fingers are blue from the juice of the berries!

After the blueberries are picked, they are put into boxes and sent to stores. People buy the blueberries and take them home to eat. Some people like to wash the berries and eat them one by one. Other people like to cook with blueberries. They make blueberry muffins and pancakes.

No matter how you eat them, blueberries taste great!

On Thursday we have our trip to Stardome. Me and my friend’s were excited to go. The whole of Team 4 is going. We are going to Stardome because we are learning about the Planets.

While we were waiting to go we got into our group lines. My teacher was Miss Parrant she was kind and helpfull. We were so excited to go. While waiting for the bus to come we got up into our lines and got into the bus. We were playing games and talking in the bus.

“Were here.” My friend said. So we got up and getting ready to go. We got up getting ready to go inside. But we were a bit early so we played at the park instead. It was so big and fun. After our 20min play we get to go inside the Stardome. When we got inside we could see these amazing things, Like the stone from Space, And the Lego building.

Then My Teacher Miss Parrant leaded us to a room with cool decorations. We sat on the chairs with the big screen in front of us. We thought we were going to see a movie but this man name David was teaching us about the Solar System. We were learning about how big the sun is and how it is made out of. After our talk we got to do a quiz, The girls had to be with Miss Parrant and the boys had to be with Miss Williamson. We walked around seeing these amazing things. After our quiz we got to see the show I was so excited to go inside the dome. When we got inside there were chairs leaning back and they are could Recliner chairs. They were so comfortable to set on. When we were leaning back you could see the big Dome. Then the show started, So we sat back getting relaxed. The show was about the Solar System. Then we the show finished.
